Under a beautiful autumn blue sky, the boys' teams ran exceptionally well on Saturday at Lake Sammamish State Park in the Bellevue Invitational. Both teams placed 6th in their division and saw fifteen personal bests as a result. Trimming 20 or more seconds off of their PRs were: Sam Gluck, Sam Hendren, Nick Murphy, Izzac Post, Ryan Pritchett, Derek Yamamoto and Jack Laurence, who saw his PR drop by over a minute. Congratulations to the team!
On Saturday morning, the boys' travel to Lake Sammamish State Park to participate in the Bellevue Invitational. This is usually a large meet with schools from across Washington. The meet schedule follows:
On Wednesday, 9/24, the Roughrider teams travel to Liberty High School for a meet against Liberty (3A), Inglemoor, and Garfield. This will be a new course for our runners. The meet will take place like the one last week (1 boys' race, 1 girls' race) with the boys' race starting at 4:00pm.
The boys' teams had an outstanding day at the Ft. Steilacoom Invitational last Saturday. Despite the drizzle and overcast, the Roughrider runners turned in excellent performances: 8th place finish (Varsity), 6th place finish (JV, maybe--Seth's finish was "lost"), and 4th place (JV B).
